Bio
Mariah Cummings is entering her first year as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach
at Chattanooga State Community College, bringing over eight years of coaching
experience to the program.
Before joining Chattanooga State, Mariah served as the Head Girls’ Basketball Coach
at Grace Academy, where she developed young athletes both on and off the court. A
2013 graduate of Silverdale Baptist Academy, Mariah had a standout playing career,
leading her team to multiple district championships, a region runner-up finish, and a
substate appearance. She holds the all-time scoring record at SBA — for both boys and
girls — with 2,466 career points.
Mariah continued her basketball career at Eastern Kentucky University on a full athletic
scholarship, playing from 2013 to 2017. She earned her B.A. in Public Relations with a
concentration in Management.
Passionate about developing the next generation of players, Mariah has spent several
years coaching and mentoring athletes at the middle school, high school, and collegiate
levels. She currently resides in Harrison, Tennessee, with her husband, Cordaro, and
their two children, Noah and Zayleigh.
